Maria Blair earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Family and Consumer Sciences from Florida International University. As a high school student, she was enrolled in the Early Childhood Education program at Robert Morgan Vocational Technical Institute as it was known then. During her senior year of high school, she was recognized as the ECE student of the year.
Mrs. Blair is also certified to teach the Department of Children and Families courses, ServSafe, and Child Development Associate which are all courses needed for the certification of the students enrolled in her program.
In addition to teaching four different levels of Early Childhood, Mrs. Blair is the Director at our on-site licensed Little Pirates Preschool. Our preschool cares for children 4 months-5 years of age.
Any student interested in working with children should definitely apply. This course will be the building block into a career with children; whether you want to be a teacher, director, entrepreneur, social worker, pediatric nurse, pediatrician, etc. For those students that wish to be preschool teachers and complete all the requirements, you will be fully certified to be a preschool teacher anywhere in the United States!
