Robotics

YMPA’s Robotics program is sponsored by Mr. Raul Perez, one of the original founders of The Prep. Every year the students in the program compete in the VEX Robotics competition presented by the Robotics Education & Competition Foundation. It is the largest and fastest growing middle school and high school robotics program globally. The VEX Robotics Competition prepares students to become future innovators with 95% of participants reporting an increased interest in STEM subject areas and pursuing STEM-related careers.

This year a team from the Robotics program will showcase their robotic arm purchased from the Yaeger Foundation at the SECME Olympiad and Festival. Students will be judged based on innovative engineering, effective presentation, most realistic prosthesis, and product demonstration.
